SCAMPER Model is a creativity-enhancing mental model that helps in problem-solving and brainstorming sessions through various angles or perspectives.
SCAMPER is an acronym where each letter stands for a different type of thinking: Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to another use, Eliminate, Reverse. For instance, you're trying to improve a bicycle's design. 'Substitute' might mean replacing the material or changing the tires. 'Combine' might mean adding a basket for storage. 'Adapt' could involve making it suitable for different terrains, and so on. This model thus stimulates creative thinking and generates innovative ideas or solutions.
